To all Desert Ridge Little League Families:

I am excited to accept the role of President this year for DRLL and look forward to serving with some of the most
dedicated board members I could imagine. My desire is to continue league growth and the positive things that we
have had over the last few years. Last year we were able to provide new fences for the fields, as well as shade
covers for the dugouts. We also had great success with our 9-10 All Star team making it to the state finals, and the
11-12 team making it to the district final game. There are some initiatives that I would like to see more focus on, for
example bringing more kids into our Juniors program and a system to make score and pitch count recording easier
for everyone so that updates are not delayed.

That being said, we have a definite shortage of volunteers across the board. For a league of almost 400 kids we
only have a handful of parents that volunteer for the board. There are many things that need to be done and the
current level of volunteers cannot possibly do it all. I know that everyone is busy with things in their own lives, but
we really need some people to step up and help us continue to keep the league one of the premier Little Leagues
in the East Valley.

I know it seems that the season is still far off but we will be opening on line registration just in the next few days!!
There is a lot to be done in the next couple months that will get us off to a great start to the season, but we need
additional volunteers! Please email me at president@desertridgelittleleague.com if you would be willing to donate a
little of your time to help the hundreds of kids that we can expect in just a couple months.

Thanks
Jason Beaver
